
A friend in Minneapolis has a statue of the Buddha on her balcony, and for a time, squirrels could find treats nearby. Here, one of the beneficiaries lifted its nut up — probably sniffing it as squirrels generally do, but it looks as if it’s in offering and gratitude. I knew the moment I took this photo that I had a keeper, and I still love this photo.
